A rest day in Oberlin

Nick found time to cook breakfast for us and the whole family before leaving for Arizona. (Were we being spoiled?) Elizabeth organised his clothing and made sure he caught the plane on time.

Elizabeth had also been asked by an elderly lady to create a multi-media presentation for her family reunion which was being held today. Elizabeth's mum came over to look after the boys while Elizabeth was at the reunion.

We helped out around the house with a few odd jobs that needed doing - cutting and gluing the last marble wall tile for their bathroom and fixing a leaking tap.

Elizabeth came back later in the afternoon to say we were all invited to join in the family reunion as there was plenty of food. Wanda and I were obviously not part of the family, but were welcomed as warmly as if we were. It was a unique opportunity to see a family celebration and meet some wonderful people.

Like all meetings it was more fun when the elections were over.

Blanch is very sociable. She can tell you a few stories about her family.

We stayed there until quite late as Elizabeth copied her presentation onto DVDs for the family members.

This was delayed by problems with an external hard disc, and by the time she had finished it was quite late, so we bought Chinese take-away for dinner.
